Zack Taylor

Zack “Buddy” Taylor, Jr. 88 , died Thursday, January 1, 2015. Born in Wenona he was the son of the late, Zack Taylor, Sr. and Nora Parkinson Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a U.S. Army/Air Corp veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of American legion Post 64. He worked for 36 years at Dresser Industries and served on the union committee for many years. Buddy was known for always having a smile for everyone that he met. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons and their wives, Michael & Patty and Jonathan & April; daughter, Virginia Mitchell; brothers, Winston and wife, Hope and Michael; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a special niece Lori Mansfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Phillip “Tony” Taylor, sisters, Estelle Horner, Pearl and Rebecca Taylor and three brothers, Hardon, Richard and Warren Taylor. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Linwood “Sonny” Benton will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2 at Holloway Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health for the wonderful care they provided during his lengthy illness. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses to Holloway Funeral Home.
