Lydia Lane Lockner

Lydia Lane Lockner, 90, of Ridgely, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 with her long time caregiver and beloved niece Tammie Sutphin by her side. She was born on October 22, 1927 in Ridgely to the late Mark Manlove Cole and Cora Cole Wilhelm. Mrs. Lockner worked for 40 years as a trainer at the McCrory Corporation. She was a lifetime member of Emanuel Wesleyan Church in Ridgely who earned a masters degree in Theology. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Larry Lockner and brothers Mark Cole, Emanuel Lane and Walter Lane. She is survived by son David Wayne Lockner of North Dakota, daughter Bonnie Smith of Texas, brother Nat Cole of Ridgely, sister Anna Fortney, nieces Stacey Twigg of Ridgely, Tammie Sutphin of Ridgely and Danielle Cole of Ridgely. A funeral service will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM with the family welcoming visitors one hour prior.
