Mr. Reginald N. Arrington Jr.

On September 9, 2018, Reginald Neville Arrington, Jr., of West Friendship, went to be with the Lord.
He was born on April 13, 1931, in Baltimore to Neville and Hazel Arrington. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Mary Elda Arrington (nee Scarth).
Reg was a life long resident of the West Friendship community. He was a worshipper of God being dedicated to evening devotions and his church family. He grew up at St. James United Methodist Church where he attended for over 80 years. Reg was a school guidance counselor in Howard County Public Schools for 40 years, ministering to students at Ellicott City Junior High, Glenelg High School and Hammond High School. He retired in 1996. He served in the US Army at Camp Picket in VA, Brook Army Hospital for Preventive Medicine in San Antonio, and Fort Belvoir in VA.
Surviving in addition to his wife are son John Neville; son Charles Thomas and his wife Anne and granddaughter, Bethany; nephew Bill Arrington and wife Judy and nephew Steve Arrington and wife Lora and many great-nephews and nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Dorsey.
The family will receive friends at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel (6416 Sykesville Rd) Sykesville on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8pm.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at 1:30pm at Ellicott City Assembly of God, 10600 Frederick Road, Ellicott City. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Marriottsville.
