FLINTSTONE – Linda Virginia (Park) Deremer, 81, of Flintstone, passed away into the arms of Jesus Monday, December 3, 2018, at Frostburg Village (Sterling Care).
Born March 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Lula and Lyle Burch Park. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, whom she married on June 19, 1955, John Lee Deremer; siblings, Lyle Park, Jr., Julian Park, Ronnie Park, Lavelda Park; and grandson, Ryan Hendershot.
Linda was an active member of Prosperity United Methodist Church. She was involved in many church groups and activities including the church ladies’ group and Bible School. Linda raised her children in a Christian home and bestowed upon them the gift of love. She and her husband taught their children to share their love through their words and actions. Linda’s children recall many treasured memories of all the fun and laughter they experienced in their parents’ home. She loved to color with her grandchildren, and she made “million dollar” fudge and “angel” deviled eggs for her family to enjoy. Linda was a vibrant, loving woman who will be forever missed.
Surviving are three daughters, Deborah Sue Carlomany and husband Charles, Donna Lee Hendershot and husband Larry, and Shari Denise Martin and husband Butch; grandchildren, Katrina Hochard and husband Michael, Joshua Carlomany and wife Laura, Sharilyn Hendershot, Sabrina Hendershot, Destiny Swandol and husband Derrick, Shayla Lewis, Greg Martin and wife Carly, Kristin Martin; and great-grandchildren, Harley, Ava, and Kai Hochard, Kinslei Carlomany and Tyhler Amick, Raylan, Layla, and John Swandol, Lainey Martin, Aidan Westfall; siblings, Gene Park and Bonnie Park.
The family would like to thank the loving and compassionate staff members of Frostburg Village Nursing Home – Alzheimer’s Unit who showed Linda such devoted love and care. They truly became part of our family.
A graveside service will be conducted at Prosperity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 13505 Pleasant Valley Road NE, Flintstone, MD 21530, on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. is assisting the family with arrangements.
