CUMBERLAND – James Ronald Sills, 58, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his residence.
James “Jimmy” was born on November 12, 1960 in Cumberland, and was the son of Ronald James Sills and Delores Jean (Imler) Sills. Jimmy was preceded in death by his only sister, Debra Alice Griggs.
Jimmy was a disabled U.S. Air Force veteran, who proudly served 2 years at Peace Air Force Base, New Hampshire before being medically discharged. Jimmy earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Bowie State University. After working at the Cumberland Country Club for 17 years, Jimmy spent the remainder of his professional life in security and computer engineering.
Surviving Jimmy are his wife of 33 years, Pam (Snyder) Sills; two sons, Derek J. “DJ” and Laura Willingham and family – 1 grandson and 3 granddaughters of Tennessee, and Timothy N. Willingham and family – 1 grandson, 2 granddaughters, and 1 great grandchild of Missouri; one daughter, Tara R. and Joe Tirrito and family – 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 2 great grandchildren of Florida; two brothers, Donald J. Sills and wife Nancy, and Steven W. Sills and fiancé Kim Porter; 2 nephews, Brandon and Jimmy; and 5 nieces, Shanna, Rustilyn, Tonya, Jessie, and Miranda.

Services will be conducted at a private ceremony on Saturday, December 15, 2018, and Jimmy will be laid to rest in the Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery at Rocky Gap. Military honors will be accorded by the Fort Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.
