Cumberland—Mildred G. “Millie” Jolley, 87, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the Western Maryland System Regional Medical Center.
Born in Cumberland, MD on August 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Eleanora (Sellers) and Mathias Ruppenkamp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Jolley.
Millie was a graduate of Ursuline Academy. She was a homemaker who enjoyed doing puzzles and bowling. Most of all, Mille enjoyed spending time with her family and participating in their activities.
She is survived by her children, Barbara K. Gornall and husband Rick, Cumberland, and Gene A. Jolley and wife Mary, Monroe, MI; grandchildren, Craig Jolley and wife Sarah, Terry Jolley, David Gornall and wife Jordan, and Sarah Gornall; great-grandchildren, Olivia Jolley, Jack Gornall, and Jacob Jolley; and brother, Gerald Ruppenkamp.
A graveside service will be conducted at Davis Memorial Cemetery on Monday, February 4, 2019, at 11 A.M. with Rev. Floyd Bender officiating.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Millie’s memory may do so by making contributions to the Animal Welfare Society 33 Queen Street, Cumberland, MD 21502; or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
